WORSHIP
"Take care to keep my Sabbaths,
for that is to be the sign between you and me throughout the
generations, to show that it is I, the Lord, who makes you
holy." Exodus 31: 12-13 |

The Eucharist is the source
and summit of the Christian life; and the Eucharistic Liturgy is the
primary means by which we gather, strengthen, and are sent into the world
to help establish the Kingdom of God here on earth.
The word "liturgy"
originally meant a "public work" or a "service in the name
of, or on behalf of, the people." In Christian tradition it
means the participation of the People of God in the Work of God.
There are two basic
ministries that are responsible for the overall planning and
implementation of our liturgical celebrations.
The Liturgy
Ministry is comprised of many parishioners who carry out the various
functions that enable us to express our praise and thanks to God.
In similar manner, the Music
Ministry gathers together many talented musicians and singers who aim
to lift the communal spirit of the congregation and fill each one's heart
with the warmth and love of God. The musical tradition of the universal
Church is a treasure of great value, bringing together sacred words with
sacred music.
The goal of both of these
ministries is to bring forth the fullest and most active participation of
our entire parish community in the celebration of the Eucharistic Liturgy.
