Welcome to the Pastoral
Advisory Council of Our Lady of the Chesapeake! We are blessed to have so
many talented, dedicated Gospel People engaged in the welfare of pastoral
life here at Our Lady of the Chesapeake. The Holy Father has addressed the
world over and over again with a consistent message asking for the birth
of a "NEW Evangelization." Therefore we continue to
center our prayer, planning, and strategy on this Christian initiative.
To make this theme a reality, the Pastoral Advisory Council has
adopted an organizational format that consists of five "Ministry Coordinators" (Education, Service,
Liturgy, Stewardship, and Evangelization) who represent almost every
committee and organization in the parish. Consequently, our emphasis is on unveiling the interrelatedness of our ministries. We
focus on how each one of us and each one of our ministries are "part
of a circle" that care for the larger community of Lake Shore. We also continue to use our monthly gatherings as a time of personal
spiritual renewal as we, together, attempt to truly grasp what it means to
answer the call to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
