A Christian Community in the Roman Catholic Tradition

Volunteering

Volunteering

We sincerely and deeply thank you for your interest and desire to volunteer at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Parish.  Without a committed and growing body of volunteers, this parish would not be able to exist.

Our Ministries

Our parish ministries are organized into many different areas.  If you know what you would like to do, please check the appropriate box(es) below and someone from that particular ministry will contact you.

If you are unsure of the specific activity you would like to volunteer for, but merely desire more information on where there is a need, please check those areas which you may find of interest.  You are under no obligation by sending in this form.

                 STAND Certification

Please note that in the interest of protecting our minor children/youth and ensuring that all volunteers are screened for their fitness to work with them, anyone requesting to volunteer in a ministry that involves substantial contact with children and/or youth, will be required to undergo STAND Certification before being permitted to serve in that ministry. This requires 1-2 hours of training, completion of a volunteer application, completion of a background criminal check, and three favorable (written) references.

I am interested in the following area(s) of ministry. Please contact me as soon as possible with more information on where there is a need and how my time and talent might help:
