A Christian Community in the Roman Catholic Tradition

Holy Eucharist

Holy Eucharist

Holy Eucharist"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'Take and eat; this is my body.' Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, 'Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'" MT 26:26-28

The Holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord's own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist.

The Eucharist is the heart and the summit of the Church's life, for in it Christ associates his Church and all her members with his sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving offered once for all on the cross to his Father; by this sacrifice he pours out the graces of salvation on his Body which is the Church.

First Holy Communion is celebrated in the Spring.  Children seeking the Sacrament of First Eucharist are enrolled in our Religious Education Program.  Please complete the Sacrament Registration form by clicking on the link.
